3 conventional ways of packaging promotional products

In the past concept, the packaging of promotional products does not seem to be so important. Because the value of promotional products itself is not high, and then from the perspective of cost-saving, there seems to be no need to spend extra cost to customize the packaging. With the influence of retail trends on promotional products, consumers highly value promotional products from companies that resemble retail-brand packaged products.

From my own point of view, if I receive a beautifully packaged promotional item, even if the item itself is not expensive, its beautiful packaging will make me feel that the company really cares about its brand image.

Here are 3 promotional product packaging designs I’ve come across that really nailed it!

#1. Color box

Color box packaging is almost the most popular way to package promotional products. Not only because modern paper printing technology has become so advanced that it can be adapted to any form or requirement of printing method. Most importantly, the paper used to make color boxes has a very wide range of options.

Usually, we use white cardboard as the raw material for the production of color boxes. The weight of white cardboard usually ranges from 200g to 450g. We can choose the right paper for the box according to the size and weight of the promotional products.

Color is known to evoke emotions. When it comes to product packaging, it also has a huge impact on consumer perceptions. Therefore, when we choose a printing color, we also need to take into account the different meanings that different colors represent. Choosing the right color for your color box can also reflect your company’s branding philosophy and the product message you want to convey to consumers from the side. I have listed below 6 different conventional colors that may help you in your future color box customization:

Blue

represents sincerity, cheer, and honesty.


Red

represents new, daring, and exciting.


Green

represents fresh and eco-friendly.

#2. Transparent PET box packaging

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a polymer material with many characteristics that make it suitable for product packaging. I suggest you use this type of packaging if your promotional products are very beautiful colors or very unique shapes so that people have a bright feeling.

Transparent PET box can better display your products, but the most important point is that it is a 100% environmentally friendly material. And, it serves as a sustainable material option. PET is highly recyclable. It can be recycled over and over without losing its properties.

Also, it is suitable for offset printing, screen printing, bronzing, and silver bronzing due to its strong resistance. It can be drawn into a variety of forms, so it can often be used as a gift wrapper.

#3. Display box packaging

Like PET box packaging, display box packaging also provides a visual representation of your product. In addition to this, it can be used as a large billboard. Because there is a large lid on the back of the box which has enough space for printing. The logo and all the details about the brand including pictures can be printed on that lid for the promotion and advertising of the company.

In terms of the actual cost, the cost of display boxes is actually lower than that of PET boxes. However, because of its relatively large size and the fact that shipping costs are now more expensive, the choice of display box packaging may not be cost-effective at this stage.

But in any case, display box packaging can also be an alternative way. If you plan to distribute promotional products in crowded places such as exhibitions, shopping malls, etc., then I think display box packaging will be the best choice.
